With the retirement of Mr. Knight, we are pleased to announce the hiring of Simon Glatt, a 2017 graduate of ECCSS, as the new High School Marching Band and Concert Band Director for the 2021-2022 school year.  Simon is a recent graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor Degree in Music Education.

At ECC, Simon was a Marching Band and Concert Band member for six years. In Marching Band, he was Drum Major for two years. In Concert Band, he earned the honor of attending All-State Band for two years, placing near the top of his section both years. At Slippery Rock, Simon was a Marching Band member, and the Sergeant of the Euphonium Section in Concert Band. He also played in many Musical Ensembles.

Simon is planning on writing a marching drill for half-time shows during this year’s football season. While we will not be competing in the T.O.B. (Tournament of Bands) season this year, we plan on performing during the half-time of all the home football games, along with playing in the stands during the games. We look forward to getting back on the field.
