SMCES Kindergarten Camp

The Kindergarten teachers at St. Marys Catholic Elementary hosted a ‘Kindergarten Readiness Camp’.

Students enrolled in Kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year were invited to take part in activities to refresh skills and were introduced to daily Kindergarten routines. ‘Pete the Cat’ was the theme and math/language arts activities were planned around him. They used play dough and buttons for a STEM activity and they even participated in a directed drawing to draw Pete. They were movin’ and groovin’ every day with brain breaks! The last day of camp there was a pizza party for the students and their families. The children are looking forward to a special bus ride just for them on their first day of school.
