Mrs. Straub’s 4th and 5th grade social studies classes participated in 5 weeks of Junior Achievement USA. Junior Achievement (JA) is a nonprofit organization financed by businesses, foundations, and individuals. Since its founding in 1919, JA has contributed to the businesses and economic education of more than 100 million young people around the world.

This year Mr. Joe Fleming, Father Kevin Holland and high school students Tessa Fledderman, Sophia Gerg, Sarah Reedy and Marissa Ruffner were the Junior Achievement teachers. They enjoyed getting to know our fourth and fifth graders while teaching them about entrepreneurship, human, capital and natural resources, starting and running a successful business and how to become a team-player and leader.
