In conjunction with the CEC and Penn State Extension, Saint Marys Catholic Elementary School’s 5th grade STREAM students celebrated manufacturing day with a zoom presentation featuring local manufacturer Rich Valley Apiary.
Students learned about the role bees play in agriculture as well as products that can be manufactured from honey and beeswax. Students then were able to make their own beeswax candle, and sample some local honey!
Thank you to Rick Valley Apiary for teaching our students the important role bees play in our ecosystem!
