Elk County Catholic kicked off the week’s celebration with a dinner at Casali’s Italian Grille yesterday evening. The faculty and staff that attended enjoyed a delicious meal together in addition to some fun and fellowship.
The school system’s hallmark and retiring faculty and staff members were also honored. They are pictured in the attached photo: bottom row, left to right – Dori Sekelsky (20 years), Laura Anderson (20 years), Chrissie Schneider (15 years), Pete Winklbauer (47 years), and Kathy Bauer (25 years); back row, left to right – Mary Steele (35 years), Susan Bon (30 years), Bridget Roberts (25 years), Abby Zampogna (5 years), Janet Dellaquila (30 years), Laura Kuntz (40 years), Dana Gebauer (30 years), Michelle Smith (30 years), and Aaron Straub (40 years). Missing from the photo are Rebecca Bolitiski (5 years), Katie Dupree (5 years), Julie Uberti (5 years), and Patty Gabor (10 years).
Also, retiring after this school year are two long-time staples of our school community – Mr. Pete Winklbauer, who will retire after 47 years of teaching high school art, and Mrs. Laura Kuntz, who will retire after 40 years of teaching kindergarten. We hate to see you go, but goodness, do you ever deserve it! The lessons and knowledge you have instilled over the years is immeasurable! We wish you all the best in your retirement!
Lastly, thank you to all the teachers out there for all you do for your students and your schools! The hours you dedicate, the support you provide, and the wisdom you impart is inspiring! Cheers to you! 👏
