This week, six educators from ECCSS are attending the National Catholic Classical Schools Conference at Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. They are Fr. Ross Miceli, Mrs. Lynne Kucenski, Mrs. Grace Messineo, Mrs. Brittany Urmann, Miss Dawn Salter, and Mrs. Laura Anderson. This conference brings together educators from around the country to deepen their understanding of the nature and purpose of Catholic education and its roots in the classical liberal arts tradition. The theme of the sixth annual conference is “Educating from the Heart of the Church”.

Some of the highlights of the conference so far include meeting John Garvey, president of Catholic University, and Fr. Ross celebrating Holy Mass at the Crypt Church of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception with Fr. Paul Scalia, son of the late U.S. Associate Justice Antonin Scalia.

Another example that proves one is always learning new things! 🤔📖📝📚✝️👩‍💻👨‍💻
