The Elk County Catholic High School Athletic Association will host its 8th Annual Golf Outing in support of Crusader athletics on Saturday, July 7 at the Leaning Pines Golf Course in St. Marys.
Registration fees are $60 for nonmembers and $40 for members. They include greens fees and a cart, a continental breakfast, dinner following the tournament, drinks on the course, door prizes, and tournament team and skill prizes.
Once again this year, the tournament is accepting Business Team/Hole Sponsorships. This option includes the team’s entry into the tournament, mulligans, a hole sponsorship, and recognition in the tournament rules packet and at the registration table.
Prizes will be awarded to the top low gross team as well as the top two low net teams. The top alumni team and a “lucky number” team will also be among the winners. Skill prizes for men and women and door prizes will also be given out.
The intent behind the event is two-fold: it’s a chance for friends and supporters of ECC athletics to get together and have some fun, and it also acts as a fundraiser for the Athletic Association. The association is responsible for raising the necessary funds to support all the athletic programs at ECC, more than $120,000 each year.
Registration for the tournament will begin at 8 a.m. on July 7 with play to begin at 9 a.m. Registration fees may be paid at the course on the day of the event.
A registration form can be downloaded by visiting www.eccss.org/golfouting. Please email completed forms to strauba@eccss.org. Questions can be directed to Aaron Straub at 814-834-7800 (ext. 207).
Golf experience not necessary! Event coordinators encourage all to come out for a day of fun and fellowship in support of the ECCHS student-athletes.
