Yeti Cooler with Cable Lock and Two Thermoses

The Elk County Catholic Athletic Association and Advancement Office are teaming up and invite you to join them in celebrating the inaugural “Outdoor Bash” which will be held on Sunday, October 22 from 12 – 4 p.m. at Elk County Catholic High School. Tickets include the service of two meals, beer and chances on 12 main event prizes.

The Outdoor Bash will run much like the gun bashes that take place in our area – an item or package will be given away every 15 minutes beginning at 1 p.m. A variety of other raffles and chances to win will take place between the main giveaways.

Spokesperson Sue Jansen says this community event is an attempt to celebrate our area’s love of the outdoors. Hunting and fishing items, camping supplies, and other recreational activities will act as the main prizes for the event.

“We’ve been talking about hosting something like this for a number of years now, and we are very excited that all the pieces are finally falling into place. We wanted to put our own spin on the gun bashes that are so popular around Elk County, and offer an activity that appeals to a broader audience of outdoorsmen and women. We all enjoy the outdoors in different ways, and this event celebrates that,” said Jansen.

Items such as hunting bows, an Orvis fly fishing rod, a Lake Erie fishing trip, a Yeti cooler package, a set of kayaks, a digital smoker, his and hers mountain bikes, and a tailgater’s package, which includes a portable grill, pop-up canopy, and a folding table, are among the prizes that are up for grabs as part of the ticket price.

In addition to the main prizes, smaller raffles will be held in between those giveaways. A camouflage rocker/recliner, zero-gravity chairs, a cornhole set, and a hunting blind are among the items that will also be chanced off.

There are still tickets available, but they are limited. To reserve your ticket or for more information, contact Sue Jansen at 814-834-1480 ext. 232. You must be 21 years old to attend.
