TBT to two weeks ago when senior Nate DaCanal scored his 1,000th career point to become the seventh Crusader basketball player in the team’s history to accomplish this feat. Prior to the Crusaders’ game against Bradford, Nate needed 11 points to reach the milestone. With 2:34 remaining in the third period, he converted a field goal to bring his career point total to 1,001 points.
Nate joins current junior varsity basketball coaches Jesse Bosnik ’07 and AJ Straub ’02, his uncle Randy DaCanal ’79, Doug Bosnik ’74, current sixth grade basketball coach Steve Straub ’95, and Nate Higgins ’09 in the 1,000 point club. He also joins former Lady Crusader 1,000 point scorers Julie (Schlimm) Newton ’89, Claire Posteraro ’06 and Emily Detsch ’10.
