The Advancement Team of the Elk County Catholic School System
Lindsey Meholic Straub ‘02, a graduate of Gannon University in advertising communications, is putting her skills to use through graphic design and layout, social media outreach such as the ECCSS website and Facebook pages, and news release and advertisement preparation. She serves as a liaison to the Alumni Association.
Bob Ordiway, a retired banking executive, works as one of the team’s volunteer Business Outreach Coordinators. He coordinates business sponsorship and the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program (EITC), also for businesses. He is the legislative liaison.
Lou Radkowski ’92 is another one of the volunteer Business Outreach Coordinators. He serves on the Board of Education and the ECCSS PTO and works closely with Bob on the business sponsorship and EITC programs.
Wee J Fernan ‘91, math teacher at ECCHS, works part-time as the High School Director of Admissions. Wee J assists with all high school transfers in grades 9 through 12 and also in recruiting 8th graders from our affiliated St. Leo School. Bridget Roberts ’87, preschool teacher at SMCES, also serves the advancement office part-time as the Elementary and Middle Schools Director of Admissions. She assists with recruitment from preschool through grade 8. Bridget recruits 5th graders from our affiliated St. Boniface School and welcomes transfers and new enrollees at the preschool and kindergarten levels. ECCSS schools are regional and its recruitment is likewise. Other members of the advancement team also help Wee J and Bridget with recruitment efforts.
Franchesca Stubber ‘05 works as the team’s database manager as well as its special events coordinator. She performs data entry on donors and funds, prepares reports and works closely with the Alumni Association on member updates. While at Mercyhurst College, Frankie was a student assistant in the career services office and interned in various special event projects. Frankie is also an assistant cheerleading coach at ECCHS.
Mary Simons Meyer ’65 oversees the work of the team and serves as the gift-giving coordinator for The ECCSS Fund, Major Projects Fund, the Heritage Gala Benefit Dinner and Legacy Society for planned giving. She also works with the Alumni Association.
Each team member brings different skills and talents to create a complete advancement program. All are passionate about the mission and hope their zeal will be contagious in advancing the mission of our schools. The team calls upon the Holy Spirit to guide their efforts.
