At the beginning of this Christmas season, the ECCSS Advancement Office held a Christmas Card contest for Mr. Pete Winklbauer’s senior art students at ECCHS. The students’ objective was to create a design for this year’s ECCSS Christmas card. The winning artist’s entry would then be featured on the 2012 Christmas card as well as receive a cash prize. A total of eight entries were submitted, and in the end Elizabeth Nicklas’s beautiful acrylic design of the nativity scene won over the judges. Her artwork was featured on the school system Christmas card that was sent to parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the school. Scott Reichard and Linnea Stager were chosen as runners-up in the contest and also received cash prizes. Pictured (from left to right) are Linnea, Elizabeth, and Scott displaying their artwork as well as Elizabeth’s winning entry. The Advancement Office thanks all the participants for their wonderfully creative designs!
